The Spice team shares the most-read stories of the year before signing off for a well-deserved break!

As another busy and eventful year comes to an end, the Spice team is signing off for our last Spice News e-newsletter for the year and heading off for a well-deserved break!

We’ll be out of office from Thursday, 23 December and back at the desk on Thursday, 5 January 2023, refreshed and ready to take on what is sure to be a great year ahead with the next newsletter hitting your inbox that same day.

While 2022 was certainly better than the last, it didn’t come without its own challenges. But amidst all this, the business events industry continued to soldier on, welcoming the pent-up demand for in-person events and celebrating many wins and successes along the way.

1. Hot 100 Hotels and Venues

You couldn’t wait to find out the hotly anticipated results for our ever-popular annual Spice Hot 100, as voted by you!

2. Australia’s first AC Hotel by Marriott to open in Melbourne

The announcement that AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne Southbank would be opening in April was big news.

3. The Intermedia Group welcomes new event director

Renita Collins.

We welcomed Renita Collins to the team, who will be helping us take Events Uncovered 2023 to a whole new level!

5. Sofitel Brisbane Central expands executive team

The hotel welcomed several new talented recruits to its executive team and unveiled its refreshed dining spaces and executive lounge.
