Tourism Australia expands Chinese presence for events

As part of an ongoing commitment to the Chinese business events market Tourism Australia has appointed two senior executives who will be responsible for developing its operations in the Greater China region.

Tourism Australia’s signature event for showcasing Australia as a destination for business events takes on Sydney as 72 international corporate meeting and incentive decision makers from 14 countries and 14 international media touchdown for Dreamtime 2011

BECA measures its contribution

In order to monitor the contribution the Business Events Council of Australia has commissioned Dr Leo Jago and Dr Margaret Deery to produce an annual report analysing the performance of business events.

NSW to encourage more Chinese incentive travellers

The NSW Government today announced its support for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with China signed on Tuesday (26 April) enabling more inbound incentive travellers in a rapidly growing market.

Asia driving inbound tourism growth

This year’s Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) has confirmed the growing importance of Asia in Australia’s future tourism growth, according to Tourism Australia Managing Director Andrew McEvoy.
