W Melbourne appoints business events specialist

Kelly Ferguson brings 17 years business events industry experience to the newly-created role of account director - MICE.

W Melbourne has announced the key appointment of Kelly Ferguson in the newly created role of account director – MICE, as the hotel gears up to meet the renewed demand for meetings and events.

Ferguson has 17 years MICE industry experience, having previously held roles at premier hospitality provider The Big Group, Grand Hyatt Melbourne, InterContinental Adelaide, and Hyatt Regency Adelaide.

“We are excited to welcome Kelly to the W Melbourne team,” W Melbourne general manager Damon Page said.

“Kelly brings highly credentialed creative expertise in the business events space and she will be leading the charge in attracting new business and creating unforgettable event experiences as the demand for business events continues to climb.”

W Melbourne features over 635 square metres of events space and meeting rooms with fully adaptable conference equipment and world-class audio-visual facilities. The Great Room, spanning 426 square metres of pillarless event space accommodates up to 300 guests for a banquet along with six other meeting rooms featuring floor to ceiling windows.

Each of the meeting spaces can be tailored for any occasion, from a stand-up cocktail function, business meeting or a formal sit-down dinner. All spaces are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, advanced audio-visual fit-out along with bold contemporary cuisine from the in-house catering team.
