Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts opens first hotel in New Zealand

Mövenpick Hotel Auckland will treat guests to a range of distinctly ‘Mövenpick’ experiences, such as its 24-hour Sundae Service and famous daily 'Chocolate Hour'.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has officially opened the doors to Mövenpick Hotel Auckland, making it the Swiss-born hospitality brand’s first hotel in New Zealand.

The hotel will treat guests to a range of distinctly ‘Mövenpick’ experiences, such as its 24-hour Sundae Service and famous daily ‘Chocolate Hour’, which includes live chocolate demonstrations such as rolling truffles to icing cupcakes.

Situated right in the heart of Auckland city, the new hotel is surrounded by some of the city’s retail, dining, cultural and leisure precincts, offering convenience and accessibility for exploring the best of the CBD.

It features 207 contemporary guest rooms and suites, on-site and virtual gyms, a signature Asian Fusion restaurant and bar, a street-side café, valet parking, library, and a dedicated meeting and events conference room. Corporate guests and conferences will be well catered to in the full-service conference space on level one, equipped with eight function rooms, state-of-the-art technology, full tech support, natural daylight, inbuilt audiovisual, and free Wi-Fi access.

With the opening of the Auckland property closely followed by Mövenpick Hotel Wellington, Accor Pacific chief executive officer Sarah Derry said she was delighted to be able to bring the authentic Mövenpick experience to New Zealand for the first time.
