Events with a difference at InterContinental Sydney

The hotel’s unrivalled location just across the road from the Royal Botanic Gardens allows meeting planners to easily weave the exquisite garden surroundings into the programme.

From a twilight cocktail party in the Royal Botanic Gardens to a picnic lunch overlooking Lady Macquarie’s Chair, this new range of services available now at InterContinental Sydney are designed to both enrich the attendees experience and also provide them with a greater sense of the local destination.

Recently, Kelloggs chose to conclude their three day conference at InterContinental Sydney with a gala event in the spectacular Palace Rose Garden Pavilion within the Royal Botanic Gardens.

The party started with cocktails and canapés in the hotel’s famous level 31 Harbour Room before delegates were escorted across the road to a stunning “rose themed” clear marquee in the Palace Rose Gardens. With the city skyline as a backdrop, the hotel’s chefs created a cold and hot seafood underwater feast and dessert buffet.

InterContinental Sydney continues to play host to some of the city’s most impressive social events and celebrations.

A party crowd of 400 that included Hollywood star Eva Mendes, gathered in the Cortile lobby of InterContinental Sydney for the launch of ACP’s 30 Days of Fashion and Beauty.

With one of the most dramatic parades the fashion pack has ever seen, models dressed in some of the latest Australian designer creations, abseiled their way down the sandstone walls of the hotel’s historic Treasury Building.

InterContinental Sydney, positioned on the edge of the world’ s most stunning harbour overlooks the Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens. The hotel has been the preferred Sydney home for visiting international celebrities and dignitaries for more than two decades.
