New Attractions at AIME

An array of new attractions and events have been announced for AIME 2010 which takes place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 2-3ensuring visitors to the event have plenty of options for networking as well as business.

Among the 29 new exhibitors at AIME this year will be Lufthansa German Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air Austral, Seoul Tourism, Visit London and The Leading Hotels of the World.

New to the show floor this year will be Destination Presentations which will see six destinations making 30-minute presentations to buyers at AIME to showcase destination and attractions allowing hosted buyers to learn more about new and interesting product over two days of AIME.

There will be plenty on offer each evening with an exclusive shopping night for hosted buyers and delegates arranged at the Crown Entertainment Complex retail precinct on Tuesday, 2 March.

The VIP shopping experience will include with 22 specialist stores offering discounts including French Connection, Guess, Peter Alexander, G-Star Raw, Politix, Saba, Marcs, Zu Shoes, Witchery and Mimco as well as champagne, canapés and roving entertainment and prizes up for grabs.

An exciting new addition to the AIME networking calendar this year is Club AIME at Lagerfield Bar & Garden, located at the Clarendon Street end of the Crown Entertainment Complex. 

Club AIME will operate on Monday 9 – 11pm, Tuesday 6 – 8pm and Wednesday 5 – 8pm and AIME visitors can show their badge for discounts each night.

The Master Class Seminar program at AIME is a drawcard for many visitors and the Saxton’s Ultimate Event Experience’ on Wednesday 3rd March at 8.30am has proven to be popular with more than 300 people registered to attend the event.

This event is hosted by Channel Nine Getaway presenter Catriona Rowntree allows visitors to experience the ultimate in event entertainment and engagement with speakers such as John Lees and Dr Michael Carr-Gregg and entertainment from Human Rhythms. 

A range of new Master Class Seminars is being offered including sessions on ‘How to Win Sponsors and Influence people’ and ‘Turn Water into Wine – Creative Catering on a Budget.’ 
The Master Class Seminars and Business Events Forum have also been enhanced for 2010 by Meetings & Events Australia offering all members two professional development points per hour seminar attended.

When it’s time for lunch, food lovers will be in for a taste sensation at the Globe Restaurant and Bar this year with Malaysia Tourism presenting ‘Flavours from Malaysia’ with cuisine from Langkawi, Panang, Negeri, Sembilan and Sarawak.
