INVNT launches mental health awareness campaign

The campaign aims to ensure 'the voices of the people who are often forgotten are heard when they need us most'.

Event agency INVNT has launched a social media campaign to raise awareness of mental health during COVID-19.

With working from home and social distancing the new normal, INVNT executive creative director Adam Harriden said many people will have felt isolated, anxious, uncomfortable, doubtful or confused at some point over the last few weeks.

“This campaign aims to get people to stop and think about how those who have always felt this way – people with mental health disorders – are coping during these tough times,” he said.

“They need our help more than ever. Imagine suffering from anxiety or depression and being told you can’t leave your house, you can’t see your friends, and that seeing your doctor or therapist could take weeks?

“From supporting your local mental health organisation to lending your creativity to a pro bono project, let’s make sure the voices of the people who are often forgotten are heard when they need us most.”

The campaign has kicked off across social media with a video capturing the worldwide media coverage on COVID-19, including a number of celebrity cameos.
