Last chance to register for today’s BESydney webinar

The free event will feature guest speakers from government, venues and industry.

In partnership with Spice Magazine, Business Events Sydney (BESydney) is inviting event professionals to be part of Sydney’s road to recovery, in a special live webinar.

Taking place on Tuesday, 9 February 2021, the online event will feature four guest speakers:

  • Deputy Lord Mayor councillor Jess Scully
  • Belgin Tran, director of project delivery and enterprise change, Service NSW
  • Jane Lyons, general manager, Hyatt Regency Sydney
  • Kristian Nicholls, executive general manager – bidding, BESydney.

From the City of Sydney and government to cultural institutions, venues and hotels, the industry is proving that opportunity can lie in the face of adversity.

Over 60 minutes, the panel will discuss Sydney’s innovation and adaption through COVID-19, how the city, venues and hotels have built back better, and why Sydney is ready and open for business.

Following the panel discussion, viewers will be invited to take part in a live Q&A, giving event professionals the chance to ask government, venue and industry leaders their questions about Sydney’s road ahead.

“Sound management of the pandemic across our city and state to date, is giving increasing confidence to our local and global clientele to choose Sydney for their next meeting,” said Nicholls.

“Despite the challenges we continue to face, all touchpoints across the business visitor economy have worked hard to provide a highly competitive and compelling proposition for delegates as restrictions ease and event planning recommences.

Nicholls said 2020 “changed the game for the world” and forced businesses to adapt, innovate and transform.

“It has given us the rare opportunity of time to reconnect and reimagine, to think deeply about our clients and their needs, to unearth new experiences and work with our industry to be ready for tomorrow.”
