Destination Gold Coast partners with MEA for Evolve 2023

Australia's leading conference for event professionals returns to the sunny shores of the Gold Coast 7 – 8 June.

Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) has announced Destination Gold Coast as its official Destination sponsor for delivering its annual conference Evolve 2023, which returns to the Gold Coast 7 – 8 June 2023.

The Gold Coast was chosen as this year’s host destination for Australia’s leading conference for event professionals thanks to its world-class conferencing facilities and incredible climate and coastal location.

MEA chief executive officer Peter McDonald said the organisation was very grateful to Destination Gold Coast for partnering with it as Destination Sponsor for the event.

“Their support will go a long way towards providing delegates with the ‘wow’ experience we’re endeavouring to deliver as we take the industry back to Australia’s favourite playground for some learning and some fun. It’s going to be an experience that will be unwise to miss,” McDonald said.

Destination Gold Coast head of business events, Selina Sinclair , said she was looking forward to partnering with MEA to deliver another successful event on the Gold Coast in 2023.

“The Gold Coast is perfectly positioned to play host as an enviable leisure and business events destination that has refined and expanded its experiential offering since last hosting MEA in 2006,” Sinclair said.

“Securing Australia’s leading conference for event professionals is an enormous coup for the city that will showcase the breadth and depth of Gold Coast’s venues, products and experiences. We have an enormous story to tell here on the Gold Coast with more than $1 billion invested in new tourism infrastructure over the past two years alone including 3,000 hotel rooms either completed or underway”.

Registrations will be opening in the coming weeks, along with opportunities to become a sponsor or exhibitor of the conference.
