Cievents global GM to depart as part of restructure

The company will be rebranded in the coming weeks.

Cievents global general manager Natalie Simmons is set to depart the company after 21 years, as the event management agency undergoes a major restructure and rebrand.

Part of Flight Centre Travel Group, cievents will be rebranded as FCM Meetings & Events and integrated with the group’s travel management arm, FCM Travel Solutions.

Customers will be able to benefit from global travel, meetings, group travel and event capabilities, all under the FCM brand.

The news comes just weeks after the launch of Cievents’ new sustainability initiative, which Simmons revealed at the recent Events Uncovered, hosted by Spice Magazine.

The transition will take place over the coming weeks, when a new leader of FCM Meetings & Events will also be announced.

Simmons thanked Cievents’ customers for their support and trust over the past three decades.

“I know that the team taking FCM Meetings & Events forward will continue to deliver the world-class events with the service you have all known and trusted,” she said.

“And as we see business events return, they will continue to be the industry leader they have always been.”

Cievents confirmed many of the current employees and teams will remain, and business is as usual until the transition is officially complete.
