Capella Hotels set for Australian debut in March 2023

Capella Sydney is expected to deliver a guest experience unlike any other, with luxurious amenities, historic architecture and refined interiors.

Renowned luxury hotel group, Capella Hotels and Resorts, is set to make its Australian debut with the highly anticipated opening of Capella Sydney in March 2023.

The new hotel will take over the heritage listed Department of Education Building near Circular Quay, which has been completely transformed with brand’s signature luxury design, which blends contemporary style with old-world charm. Designed to evoke a sense of grandeur, the hotel will feature soaring ceilings, bespoke artworks and installations, and refined interiors that embrace the aesthetic of the original building.

Designed to feel like an urban sanctuary in the Sydney CBD, Capella Sydney will offer 192 spacious guest rooms and suites. The standard guest rooms are spacious averaging over 50 square metres, whilst suites range up to 245 square metres. All guest rooms feature intuitive in-room technology, high ceilings, an abundance of natural light, a neutral colour palette, and oversized bathrooms complete with double vanities, rain showers with most also including huge standalone bathtubs.

The ground level will have multiple food and beverage offerings, including art deco inspired signature restaurant and bar, and six meeting and conference rooms for groups of 10 – 80 people.

Other offerings include the award-winning Auriga Spa, a 20-metre swimming pool intentionally positioned under a large heritage lantern skylight, a fitness centre and yoga platform.
