Rippon Lea Estate appoints new events caterer

The National Trust of Australia has announced an upcoming partnership for catering services at its historic Rippon Lea Estate in Melbourne.

The heritage-listed historic house and gardens located in Elsternwick, Melbourne, will welcome Peter Rowland Group as custodians of its catering services from 1 January 2027.

The partnership represents a new chapter for Rippon Lea Estate, with its Stables precinct to welcome a renovation of its events space and ballroom, plus a new cafe.

Rippon Lea Estate’s events calendar includes business events, social gatherings and weddings in the gardens, lawns and ballroom.

“This partnership marks an exciting step for Rippon Lea,” says Collette Brennan, CEO, National Trust of Australia (Victoria).

“By opening the Stables as a cafe and intimate functions centre, we are creating new ways for the community to experience and enjoy this heritage site every day of the week.”

Peter Rowland Group has 63 years of events catering experience in Australia, and plans to celebrate Rippon Lea’s heritage through food and experiences.

“We are proud to return as partners with the National Trust to bring a new chapter of hospitality to Rippon Lea,” says Malcolm Hurst, CEO, Peter Rowland Group.

“Together, we look forward to creating meaningful and memorable events, enhancing community engagement and reinvigorating this much-loved estate for the future.”
