New rooftop bar for The Preston Hotel

The Preston Hotel is launching its new European-inspired rooftop bar, which offers tapas, cocktails and views of the Melbourne CBD.

Opening on Friday, 9 February, 2024, Lulu Bar is a refined alternative to the old-school stylings of the hotel below it.

“Preston and its surrounds are a beautiful thriving community and I wanted to create something they are proud of that is theirs – their Siglo, their Naked for Satan, their iconic, cool meeting place where they can go a bit Gatsby,” says owner Ben Niall.

The rooftop space is one of the few spots in Preston, in Melbourne’s inner north, that offers views of the city’s skyline.

It features casual wooden dining tables, benches and sofas, with vertical gardens throughout.

Inside, the interior cocktail bar has matte rouge walls, vibrant artwork and a softly lit ambiance.

The Lulu Bar menu offers tapas-style sharing plates and pizza, accompanied by a bespoke cocktail menu.

It will host rooftop cinema evenings, wine tasting experiences, art exhibitions, parties and events.
