Beta, a new bar and gallery concept by The Hellenic Club and chef Peter Conistis, has launched above Alpha Restaurant.

The bar will boast a menu of authentic Greek meze, paired with a drinks menu featuring Greek twists on classic cocktails.

Dishes include rock oysters with cucumber, green olive, rose and sumac dressing, sweetbread popcorn with zhoug skordalia, and ‘Horiatiki’ Greek salad ice with feta jelly, candied olives and papara dressing (pictured above).

The Beta gallery will be able to accommodate up to 200 people for a drinks reception and up to 150 for dinner.

Combining the raw brickwork and elegant arches of the original Victorian building with contemporary design and metallic touches, Beta was designed by Alpha interior designer Paul Papadopoulos of DS17.

Beta is located on Level 1, 238 Castlereagh St, Sydney NSW.
