PCEC wins WA tourism award

The recognition comes after ‘facing challenges in a post-Covid era’.

Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) has won silver at the 2023 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards, held at Crown Perth at the weekend.

PCEC won for its “commitment to excellence, innovation, and unwavering dedication to its customers and business events”.

As part of its commitment to innovation, PCEC recently joined forces with Carbon Positive Australia to drive a commitment to environmental restoration, carbon offsetting and community well-being.

General Manager of Venue Operations at PCEC, Kendra Naidoo, said especially in the post-COVID era, the venue faced challenges head-on.

“This recognition is a reflection of how far we’ve come as a business,” Ms Naidoo said.

“Our success is not just about winning awards, it’s about the journey we’ve undertaken together as a team.”

Managing Director of Tourism WA, Carolyn Turnbull, said the awards are a benchmark of excellence.

“PCEC’s Silver win underscores its commitment to standing as Perth’s premier business events venue, delivering exceptional hospitality and customer service,” Ms Turnbull said.
