LAN Airlines’ new business class cabin is now available on Sydney flights, following the successful introduction of new seats across the carrier’s North and South American network.

LAN’s new premier business class cabin

The new cabin is a combination of the former first and business classes and can be found on the airline’s fleet of Airbus A340-300 aircraft, which fly from Sydney to Santiago via Auckland.

LAN general manager – Australia, NZ and Asia, Rodrigo Contreras, said the new cabin has proved a hit with the conference and incentive market from Sydney to Latin America.

“Latin America is a destination with a real difference, featuring attractions ranging from Chile’s spectacular Patagonia region to the magnificent Iguassu Falls on the border of Brazil and Argentina, the ancient Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, Peru, and the Brazilian carnival city of Rio de Janeiro,” he said.

A key feature of the new seats in LAN’s new premium business cabin is larger personal space, with the introduction of 42 sleeper seats with 180-degree full flat recline and a 74-inches of legroom between each seat – representing a 32 per cent increase over the space offered in the original long haul business class.

Each seat features a large personal video screen, with both touch-screen or remote control navigation and an extensive entertainment system available on demand.

To celebrate the launch of the new cabin in the Australian market, Contreras said a range of business class fares from Sydney to Latin America were available from $5319 per person, including taxes.

“Our special fares for the new premium business class cabin on flights from Australia add significantly more comfort and style at a very competitive price,” he said.
