Cairns Convention Centre views will amaze

The views from the Cairns Convention Centre’s new expansion will blow delegates away and ensure you never want to leave the new spaces!

The Cairns Convention Centre is set to open its doors to the new 10,500 sqm expansion and new spaces will amaze you. The expansion includes a 400-seat plenary, an exhibition space for 30 booths, three large meeting rooms, a new third level with a banquet room that can host 500 people, and an outdoor terrace with stunning views over the Trinity Outlet.

The new façade is inspired by the Wet Tropics Rainforest, and the contemporary light interiors highlight the region’s beauty.

The expansion isn’t the only noteworthy change happening at this world class facility. With the additional meeting space also comes upgrades to the Centre’s audio-visual capabilities.

All meeting spaces are now outfitted with cameras offering pan tilt zoom control features perfect for hybrid events, while presenters will find digital lecterns with AV controls and built-in preview monitors for easy reference to presentation notes. State-of-the-art laser projectors in all meeting spaces also ensure that any visual aids are shown in sharp, high resolution. The level of AV integration within the venue rooms is outstanding and provides a high level of flexibility to meet the most demanding technology needs.

Overall, the Cairns Convention Centre is set to offer a brand-new experience for delegates, with its stunning expansion and seamless integration between new and existing spaces.

Tracey Crosling, Events & Conference Manger from Australian Prostate Cancer was very impressed with the Centre’s expansion.

“We recently visited the Cairns Convention Centre expansion and new spaces look amazing, open spaces with lots of natural light. The stunning views from the third level Trinity level encapsulate Cairns, with the water and rainforest coming together.  The expansion blends seamlessly with the existing refurbished centre. We are looking forward to hosting our annual conference in Centre this coming August,” Crosling said.
