Event management company, Rizer, has expanded into the Melbourne market with the doors of their Prahran open for business immediately.


Event management company, Rizer, has expanded into the Melbourne market with the doors of their Prahran open for business immediately.

Having designed many of Melbourne’s top events for a number of years, Rizer directors Simon Hayward and Barry Wafer are excited to establish a permanent residence in a city they consider an international hub of design, art, fashion, night life and culinary culture.

Formed in 2005,  Rizer has built a diverse portfolio, ranging from rock concerts to fashion shows global awards, international galas, charity events as well as a large scale event for the Australian Government in London during the 2012 Olympics. 

While directors Barry and Simon lead the team of nine in Sydney, the also welcome two new members in Melbourne.

“With its new permanent base, Rizer Melbourne is well positioned to design and manage high level events and shows for our current clients, and to develop opportunities for new projects and new collaborations with an array of talented companies and individuals, in what is undoubtedly one of the world’s most exciting and vibrant cities,” said Hayward.

Rizer has created and executed the following standout events in Sydney and Melbourne: Melbourne Cartier boutique opening; Range Rover Evoque 5-Door Launch; The MYER seasonal fashion launches; Tiffany & Co. Paloma Picasso Launch; Vogue Australia’s 50th Birthday Party; Ernst & Young – Entrepreneur of the Year Awards; The Silver Party plus numerous private parties, corporate events, activations and fashion ‘moments’.

“When I see the final product of each show we produce, I look back to that very first meeting with the client. I remember the brief, I remember what we scribbled and I smile… our scribbles produced this. And this is why we do it,” said Wafer.
