Flexible event spaces a key feature at Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands

When it opens next month, the hotel will offer a variety of versatile options for conferences and events.

Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands is readying to open its doors in mid-June, unveiling a first look at its premium meeting event spaces that are poised to become a firm favourite among planners.

The first five-star property in the precinct, the hotel will boast five event spaces, totalling 375 square metres of space, and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and the latest audio visual technology.

Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands are determined to offer a high level of flexibility for event planners and the 245-square-metre Promenade Room is a solid example of that.

The room can host up to 200 guests in theatre or cocktail format, or 120 guests seated at round tables. It can be used in its entirety or divided into three smaller spaces to suit specific requirements, while the 30-square-metre alfresco terrace can be added on for extra space.

Other meeting spaces include The Observatory, a 55- square-metre room ideal for 15-person boardroom meetings or 45 pax cocktail events. Similarly, The Dock Room can host 35 for a cocktail event or 12 seated at a boardroom table.

“The event facilities at Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands offer a level of customisation that is very rare within the industry,” said general manager Girish Talreja.

“We are proud to be at the vanguard of technology and versatility in this space.”

Beyond the meeting facilities, the hotel will offer 189 generously appointed guestrooms, designed to offer contemporary, residential-style accommodation.

Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands will also be home to Australia’s first ‘M Club’ executive lounge, a rooftop pool and bar, fitness centre, lobby bar, all day dining restaurant and laneway café.
