Event Emporium swept Sydney’s A-listers off their feet with a Supercalifragilistic opening night event to celebrate the arrival of Mary Poppins the Musical.

From the moment guests stepped into the iconic Capitol Theatre foyer and looked up to see 300 black umbrellas suspended from the ceiling, they were
transported into the world of Mary Poppins.

After the performance, an army of sooty-faced Chimney Sweeps lined the streets and directed them to the Sydney Town Hall, whose imposing façade was emblazoned with breathtaking Mary Poppins projections.

A fleet of authentic black London Cabs signalled the much-anticipated arrival of Sir Cameron Mackintosh and his star-studded cast, who entered to see the grand Centennial Hall transformed into a London garden square as an inspiring tribute to the musical.

Authentic street furniture and signage, ornately lit gardens and chimney sweep brush installations sat against a backdrop of cityscape rooftops, whilst
theatrical lighting displayed images of Mary Poppins taking flight up the historic architecture.

Under a perfect projection of a London night sky, 1400 celebrity stars and the media twinkled below as they washed down tasty British fare with a spoon full
of sugar from the Sweet Emporium.

Special guests included former Prime Minister John Howard
