Coolhunter and Jaguar partner for C-X17 launch

C-X17 was previewed to 200 guests at #thearthunter, a pop-up art installation created by trend spotting website The Cool Hunter.

 

On Tuesday 11th March, Jaguar’s C-X17 was previewed  to 200 guests at #thearthunter, a pop-up art installation created by trend spotting website The Cool Hunter.

Director of Palmer Art Projects and curator of The Art Hunter Diana Palmer said, “We have curated the exhibition to showcase just some of the very best visual art, current trends and emerging practices, as well as the dialogue it inspires across all creative mediums. The most exciting space in creative industries is where the emerging talent lies. It’s risky, fast and dynamic and often free from the constraints of the established.”

Studio Neon’s Aaron Teece and Richard Robinson created an artistic food and wine experience to match the space for the launch. Teece said, “We’ve developed Andy Warhol’s famous Campbell’s Tomato Soup, we’ve got edible paint, we’ve even referenced Van Gogh. We’re making sure the food is as much a piece of art as the rest of the room.”

Matthew Beaven, the Chief Exterior Designer in Jaguar’s Advanced Design studio at Whitley, flew in especially for the opening. Beavan said, “This partnership with #thearthunter is very exciting. The core of the Jaguar brand is that it makes you feel alive. And art and design are the foundation of that.  It’s a great way to showcase the pinnacle of our design and technology in a way that talks to a culturally diverse audience”.

ArtHunter runs from Wednesday March 12 to Sunday March 30, 2014 at 90-96 Bourke Road, Alexandria, Sydney.
