TravMedia enters the virtual events space

The media platform has adapted with the changing travel landscape.

TravTrade, a subsidiary of global media network TravMedia, has launched a new meetings platform, enabling destinations to run virtual and hybrid events.

The new Virtual Events Platform is designed on the same platform that has previously powered events for Tourism Australia and Destination Canada, which offers a white-label event website and content management system to generate communications, manage registrations and track the event.

Virtual Events Platform integrates directly with TravMedia, an online library of press releases, travel stories and company assets.

Nick Wayland, CEO and founder of TravMedia and TravTrade, says the group had to adapt amid the global pandemic.

“The world’s largest travel trade shows cancelled, and international borders closed with a significant impact on tourism,” he said.

“Our innovation team developed the white-label virtual trade platform to keep the industry connected and engaged with overseas destinations.”
