THIS WEEKEND: Event industry to host bushfire fundraising brunch

The event will raise funds for NSW RFS to support their work during the bushfires.

The Sydney event industry will come together this weekend to host a fundraiser for the New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS), in the midst of Australia’s ongoing bushfire crisis.

The Brunch Bush Bash will take place this Sunday, 12 January 2019, at Beta Bar in Sydney, with all profits from ticket sales going directly to NSW RFS.

Organised by Grace Hopkins (freelance senior event producer), Simone Starikov (Peanut Productions) and Tegan Burford (Beta Events), the event will include raffle prizes and an auction to generate further financial donations for the service.

As the world’s largest volunteer fire service, NSW RFS includes more than 72,000 members who provide fire and emergency services to approximately 95 percent of NSW.

NSW RFS volunteers have been working long and gruelling shifts and are in need of more resources and financial donations to continue fighting the fires.

Many event industry professionals and suppliers have contributed to organise the Brunch Bush Bash, supporting the event with their services, skills and products.

The cocktail event will include brunch grazing platters by Platter Wonderland, an Australiana-themed cocktail menu and a selection of Sydney’s favourite DJ’s and entertainers, including Amy Chase, Dan Maher, Ron Maran and Sam Jake.

Married at First Sight star Jules Robinson will MC the event.
