Rotary selects AV1 as production partner for upcoming convention

AV1 will provide production support for Rotary's international convention in Melbourne later this month, which is expected to draw over 14,000 attendees.

Leading Australian audio-visual production company, AV1, has been chosen to provide production support for Rotary’s international convention, taking place at Melbourne’s Rob Laver Arena, May 28-31, 2023.

The four-day event is expected to attract more than 14,000 attendees and feature renowned speakers, including: Leymah Gbowee, 2011 Nobel Peace Laureate and Founder of Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa; Nakeeyat Dramani Sam, a youth climate advocate and environmentalist, and the Climate Vulnerable Forum Youth Ambassador; and Kari Aina Eik, Managing Director, Global Strategy, SDG Impact Fund.

Rotary is an international membership service organisation that brings together people of all cultures and continents to develop and implement sustainable, community-driven projects that tackle various global issues. The event will serve as a hub for members and participants to connect and learn from each other, as well as experts, on how to take action to address issues in their communities.

As a certified B Corporation, AV1 has demonstrated its commitment to using business as a force for good.

“AV1’s comprehensive proposal, flexibility, and willingness to explore new options and services in alignment with Rotary’s objectives and purpose made them the standout candidate in a highly competitive bid process,” Rotary stage production manager Tracy Zabek-Cowan said.

AV1 managing director, Keith Wootton, expressed his excitement about working with Rotary.

“We are thrilled to have won the bid to provide production support for Rotary’s international convention in Melbourne. It is an honour to work with a fellow purpose-driven organisation on this significant event,” Wootton said.
