Iconic Sydney venue to reopen

Following an extensive upgrade, Selina’s Entertainment Centre is set to become a new keystone venue for artists, event producers and brands to showcase their creativity.

Celebrated Sydney venue Selina’s Entertainment Centre at Coogee Bay Hotel will reopen 24 April, with significant upgrades following an extensive period of renewal and renovations.

Owned and operated by hospitality group C-INC, the venue’s reopening adds a seminal events space to Sydney’s remerging night-life economy and is a new keystone venue for artists, event producers and brands to showcase their creativity.

The refurbished and rebranded venue features a scalable capacity of 400 to 1,750 and boasts in-house concert-level audio and visual production supply, giant rear-of-stage mobile LED screen, all-new flooring throughout, improved access points, branded architectural design installations and renovated stage facilities.

These updates, along with all-new creative direction and design powered by Frame Creative and Grand North, publicity by Scrabble PR, marketing by Thrwbck Social, innovative ticketing solutions and sales support through Moshtix plus a new entertainment-focused partnership with Balter Beer, re-establish Selina’s as one of the leading entertainment venues in Sydney.

Coogee Bay Hotel general manager David Gregory said the venue was thrilled to reactivate live entertainment at Selina’s and contribute towards building a strong entertainment and events precinct within Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

“We’re proud to offer a premium venue addition to Australia’s entertainment and events industry and hope that Selina’s contributes to strengthening the live economy and nurtures talent by providing a flexible space with carefully planned facilities and a highly skilled team,” Gregory said.

“Selina’s activation is a win for the wider events and entertainment industry, artists, creators and fans across the city and beyond.”
