GCCEC unveils fresh new menu

Following months of creating and developing the new menu, GCCEC now offers a wide selection of locally and seasonally focused dishes for all palates.

Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) has launched its new menu compendium, featuring a wide selection of more than 500 new items.

The GCCEC kitchen team spent months creating and developing the new menu, which is focused on local and seasonal ingredients and caters to all palates with healthy options for both plated and buffet event meals.

Dedicated to serving restaurant-quality meals, GCCEC executive chef Garry Kindred said he was proud of the new offering.

“I’m very proud of the quality and range of meals that we serve our guests. The team works closely together to ensure the menus offer high nutritional value while allowing for flexibility,” Kindred said.

“Although we have hundreds of pre-planned menu items, we also work with our clients to create bespoke menus to suit a themed event, and of course budget.”

A recent conference for the aesthetic medicine industry, worked with Kindred and the team to produce a tailored Greek menu for the Welcome Reception, and an Arabian Nights-themed gala dinner.

“Our delegates have travelled the world and eat in the best restaurants, so they have high standards,” The Production House Events general manager Gina Samuels said.

“GCCEC’s executive chef and team delivered above and beyond, and we appreciate the level of care they took. They also appreciated that our audience like a low carb, low sugar, high protein menu and they catered accordingly.”

The Centre has had a strong start to the new financial year, serving thousands of meals to guests attending the Cruiserweight World Title match, two conferences (including Food Tech), several lunches and menu tastings for upcoming large events.
