Chocolate lovers’ hotel opens in Melbourne

Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer is now open and treating guests to its famous daily ‘Chocolate Hour.’

Accor’s highly anticipated Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer is now open, bringing the internationally renowned Swiss hotel brand to the city along with its signature daily ‘Chocolate Hour.’

Located on the corner of Spencer and Bourke Streets in the city centre, the hotel forms the six-level podium of the 78-storey Premier Tower development, with 172 guest rooms and suites on levels one to six.

The thoughtfully appointed accommodations have been designed with total rest and comfort in mind, with premium linens, blackout curtains, and modern bathrooms decked out with a rain shower.

There is a dedicated recreation floor featuring a hot tub, sauna, gym, and 25-metre swimming pool which is open until 10pm, making it one of only a few hotel pools in Melbourne where guests can swim at night.

The Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts brand is renowned for its Swiss heritage and culinary offerings and, in a move that is certain to delight many sweet tooths, will dedicate ‘Chocolate Hour’ from 3:30pm to 4:30pm every afternoon. During this decadent daily event, guests will be treated to complimentary chocolates and sweets and will have the option to elevate the experience by purchasing chocolate-infused cocktails or the signature Mövenpick ice cream chocolate parfait.

Other culinary offerings include modern Asian Miss Mi restaurant and bar, and Mövenpick Café.

The new hotel boasts a superb CBD location opposite Southern Cross railway station, and is a seven-minute walk to Marvel Stadium and a 20-minute walk to Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It offers flexible meeting and function spaces with state-of-the-art facilities, complimentary WiFi, and health-minded food and beverage options.
