View Clubs National Convention head to Coffs Coast for 2012

Up to 800 VIEW Club members from around Australia will converge on Coffs Harbour in September 2012 for their annual National Convention.

Up to 800 VIEW Club members from around Australia will converge on Coffs Harbour in September 2012 for their annual National Convention.
VIEW Clubs of Australia is a national women’s organisation established in 1960 by The Smith Family to promote the Voice, Interests and Education of Women (VIEW).

The VIEW Clubs of Australia National Convention is conducted over four days and usually held Thursday to Sunday in the first half of September, dependent on school holiday periods.

For VIEW to consider Coffs Harbour, Coffs Coast Conferences hosted a familiarisation tour of the Coffs Harbour region over a three day period.

Coffs Coast marketing manager Glenn Caldwell, said that as this convention has been held in capital cities for the past four years, winning the right to host this major national convention was a coup for Coffs Coast.

“Conferences are an industry in themselves and generate enormous economic benefits for the area in which they are held. That’s why Coffs Coast Marketing has a dedicated conference team set up to attract these forums to the region,” he said.

“Coffs Coast has such a wide range of accommodation, excellent transport links, activities and attractions, that it is a natural choice for any industry or organisation looking for a conference venue.

“We’re very pleased to be able to welcome VIEW Club members here this year and hope that it is the first of many visits by its members.”

VIEW aims to offer delegates an exciting and innovative program. The main aim of the annual Convention is for members to hear about the achievements of VIEW and The Smith Family and return to their clubs inspired to continue their good work within their own community.
