Thai Airways has embarked on its latest promotion to celebrate its 49th anniversary, by offering frequent flyers the opportunity to redeem a ticket and get one free.

Thai Airways is offering free tickets

Thai’s executive vice president – commercial, Pandit Chanapai, said that the airline always places the highest priorities on offering special deals to Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) members and the latest promotion is in appreciation of the continued loyalty by frequent flyers.

Alongside the get one free promotion, Thai is also offering a ‘buy one, redeem one at 50 per cent’ offer – which means Royal Orchid Plus members who purchase air tickets on international routes at a selected price will be offered the redemption on their mileage for their nominee, traveling on the same flights.

The promotion is effective until September 30, 2009 and members must travel on the first departure sector before September 30, 2009 and the remaining sector must be used by October 31, 2009.
