Recognising outstanding achievement in the tourism industry, the award for meeting and business tourism celebrates the creativity, professionalism and innovation.

“It’s wonderful to be singled out by our peers as an organisation that sets the benchmark for best practice across the state,” said Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley Resort business development director, Caroline Lyttle.

“Credit must go to the extremely dedicated Crowne meeting team at the hotel, without them we would not be able to set and maintain the high industry standards that we have been awarded for,” she said.

Set among the vineyards in the heart of the Hunter, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley’s meeting and event facilities are peppered among the greens of an 18-hole golf course.

The hotel offers facilities to suit functions of any number and the various outdoor spaces can be furnished with portable bars, BBQs and formal or informal seating options.

The north lawn of the hotel can accommodate up to 1000 people for dinner under the stars and is within close proximity to the hotel’s facilities. For poolside events, the pergola area caters for up to 350 people or as a unique alternative guest can dine on the golf course, offering complete privacy and open spaces.

As a Gold Award winner, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley will go on to compete nationally against the best of Australian tourism at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Melbourne on February 27.
