Arinex and Joyn become The Arinex Group

The combined companies will offer clients a full suite of event production services, including technical direction, content creation and event production.

Event tech specialist platform, Joyn, has acquired Australian business event management company, Arinex, with the two merging into The Arinex Group.

With worldwide growth and innovation on the agenda, the combined companies will offer clients a full suite of event production services, including technical direction, content creation and event production.

Joyn’s platform will also be rebranded as Arinex Live, reflecting the integrations of Joyn’s technical capabilities into the well-regarded Arinex brand.

Under the acquisition, Arinex chief executive officer, Nicole Walker, will become the group chief executive officer and join the Group Board. Meanwhile, Joyn co-founder and chief executive officer, Jordan Walsh, will become group executive chairman.

“Since founding Joyn, our goal has been to enable the future of events,” Walsh said.

“Creating unique in-person experiences, combined with an engaging digital environment is incredibly important. The Arinex business brings invaluable event experience and a global brand and reputation that we are excited to continue to build on into the future.”

Technology veteran, Tony Ward, who has held executive positions at Microsoft, Xero and LinkedIn, will also join the board as a director.

The combined group is also looking to leverage its resources to expand what it brings to the event tech sector. It has identified both Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as major opportunities going forward.

“Arinex’ core mission has always been to architect inspiring experiences,” Walker said.

“To continue to fulfil our mission, the event industry requires significant innovation and that is the core reason we have combined forces with Joyn. It enables us to leverage the best-in-class technology that enhances the experience for all stakeholders and increases ongoing sponsor and delegate engagement.”
