Toga Hospitality is to open two new hotels in Darwin in February 2009: Medina Grand Darwin Waterfront and Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront.

The Medina Grand Darwin will open in February next year

The Medina Grand Darwin Waterfront will offer 121 studios and one-bedroom apartments incorporating the qualities of space, style and homely conveniences. The one-bedroom apartments will feature separate living and sleeping areas, fully equipped kitchen and laundry and a grocery delivery service.

The 120-room Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront will offer guests the chance to trade in traditional accommodation for a fresh and vibrant alternative, with every aspect of the hotel designed to mirror guests’ lifestyles.

The hotels are being built next door to the newly opened Darwin Convention Centre and adjacent to the city of Darwin. They will also offer a pool, gym. parking, an on-site restaurant and bar as well four conference rooms with theatre style capacity for up to 100 people.

They are part of stage one of the two-staged Darwin Waterfront Development that is transforming a former industrial site into Darwin’s new and vibrant business, tourism and recreation hub.

As well as the new hotels, stage one of the Darwin Waterfront Development will see the completion of a wave lagoon, seafront promenades, harbour side restaurants and shady open public spaces.

“We are extremely excited to be bringing both our Medina Apartment Hotel and Vibe Hotel brands into the Darwin market as part of the Waterfront Development,” said Toga Hospitality CEO, Rachel Argaman. “Both brands have a distinctive flair that will present new offerings in the Darwin hotel market sector.”
