This new venue is part of the Dedes Group, a family-run business that has operated hospitality establishments on Sydney Harbour for over thirty years. Restauranteur Con Dedes, with a portfolio including Flying Fish, the Sydney Rowing Club and Kirribilli Club, sheds his extensive hospitality experience on Deckhouse to continue his legacy of delivering beautiful food with great service in a breath-taking locale.

Head Chef Samantha Lockrey puts her creative flair on the cafe and function centre menus, providing an inspirational offering reflecting the venue’s grandeur. Lockrey has worked with some of Sydney’s best, including Neil Perry at Rockpool, Serge Dansereau at The Bathers Pavilion and Kylie Kwong of Billy Kwong. She has also worked for some of Sydney’s leading catering companies such as Belinda Franks Catering, setting the standard for the catering industry.

Woolwich Dock, the home of Deckhouse, is one of Australia’s largest and oldest working boatyards. Over the next two years, Woolwich Dock will be transformed into a maritime village, highlighting Sydney’s working harbour heritage.

Deckhouse Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch, and the function centre is available for bookings seven days per week for conferences, product launches, weddings and other private functions.
