Stamford Plaza Melbourne has completed a $12 million refurbishment to reveal its new look on the Paris end of Little Collins St.

Melbourne’s only all suite residential-style hotel completed its refurbishment of 283 suites by up-scaling the rooms and the new contemporary lobby.

Taking close to 18 months and refurbished in stages to ensure guests’ comfort was not compromised; Stamford Plaza Melbourne now  features all Australian-made furnishing, with accents of European finesse, which suits the vogue of the Paris-end of Little Collins Street.

The Stamford Plaza Melbourne has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation to reveal its new look.

“Stamford Plaza multi-million overhaul allowed us the opportunity to implement environmental initiatives with energy-efficient lighting and water-saving devices throughout the hotel. Sensors have been installed in all suites for both lighting and air-conditioning; turning itself on when a guest steps into the room, an initiative undertaken to reduce our energy consumption” says Stamford Plaza Melbourne general manager, Karl Unterfrauner.

Jon Foo, Deputy COO, said “It’s a very exciting time for Stamford Hotels and Resorts with refurbishments either commencing or completed across the portfolio of 8 hotels in Australia and New Zealand.

Transformation of any nature is compelling and we are so pleased that our new look has received positive affirmation from our guests. Our aim was also to take advantage of the site’s unique characteristics; with its twin buildings, views, privacy and natural light. We look forward to welcoming our guests to a new benchmark of luxury accommodation in Melbourne – to sleep, to dine and to meet.”
