Spicers Retreats launches Private Collection

Some of Australia's most exclusive holiday homes will be available for private group bookings.

Spicers Retreats will soon take bookings for some of Australia’s most exclusive homes, with the launch of its new portfolio, Private Collection by Spicers.

Launching in September 2021, the collection will appeal to leisure and business groups looking for private stays in iconic destinations such as Hamilton Island and Port Douglas in Queensland, and the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

The group plans to have more than 50 private homes in the portfolio within the next two years.

Spicers Retreats managing director David Assef said now is the perfect time to expand the brand’s offering.

“The luxury home market is a natural fit and extension for our brand and we are excited to open up these beautiful homes for people to come and stay,” he said.

“Celebrating our incredible natural world has always been a great passion at Spicers and people need an energising escape now more than ever.”

Two beachside holiday homes are among the first properties to join Private Collection by Spicers, both owned by Spicers Retreats founder Jude Turner and husband ‘Skroo’ Turner (Flight Centre co-founder and CEO).

One property overlooks Main Beach in Noosa, Queensland and the other is located on Belongil Beach in Byron Bay, New South Wales.

A third property in Queensland’s Glass House Mountains with 360-degree views will also be in the collection.

The collection will be headed up by David Lacey, a 40-year hospitality veteran from the Hunter Valley who has managed award-winning restaurants and wineries including Fort Denison Sydney Harbour, The Pier Sydney and Danny’s Port Douglas.

“It’s an exciting time to join Spicers Retreats,” he said.

“We have so much to offer those searching for an unforgettable private retreat.

“We’ll have some amazing opportunities for people to experience the country’s most sought-after holiday locations in a home they’ll feel like is their own.”
