The past year has seen the Events Centre at Penrith Panthers develop into a highly polished business events player. From humble beginnings only 12 months ago, the Events Centre now boasts 11 venues across its 80 hectares, including the home of NRL Panthers team, CUA Stadium.

The Penrith Panthers Events Centre in NSW has recently undergone a $33 million-dollar renovation

Hot on the heels of a massive $33 million renovation, the Events Centre is now on par with business event venues in Sydney’s CBD, averaging 60 events per month in state-of-the-art meeting rooms, a large scale exhibition marquee for 1500 people and acres of ‘blank canvas’ open space for outdoor festivals and concerts.

The exhibition marquee is also suitable for outdoor festivals and concerts

The Centre’s massive transformation can be credited to the same ‘dream team’ that brought the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre to its current success. The team, led by General Manager John McLean and Head Chef Jean Phillippe Secondis, is now seeing the results of its hard work over the last year.

The Centre’s ability to provide all of its services in-house – from food and beverage through to security, audio visual and even an entertainment agent – is seen as a unique advantage by McLean.

“We offer an extraordinary amount of expertise to ensure the successful delivery of an event, which gives us very strong selling points.

“Our facilities and service are of the highest standard, comparable to any metropolitan offering, located at the base of the extraordinary Blue Mountains National Park,” says McLean.

A variety of events spaces are on offer including thos with water views

Another key to the growing success of the Events Centre at Penrith Panthers is the variety of activities on offer in the region. Lindy Andrews, head of sales & marketing – events & venues, says her clients love the unique outdoor experiences offered by the venue.

“Our clients embrace the location; an easy 55-minute drive from the CBD. They enjoy our high-octane activities like white-water rafting and the water ski park, or a relaxed dinner on the terrace to a custom-designed degustation menu,” adds Andrews.
