Marriott International’s experiential brand, Moxy Hotels, is expanding its footprint in Australia with Moxy Perth, scheduled to open in December 2021.

Moxy Perth marks the brand’s second hotel in Australia, following the announcement of Moxy Melbourne South Yarra earlier this year.

The 150-room hotel will feature Moxy’s signature tongue-in-cheek style, bringing a new style of lifestyle hotel to the city.

“Moxy is an adventurous, fun and bold response to the desires of today’s travellers, who are seeking out a lifestyle and experience, rather than just a hotel room,” said Sean Hunt, area vice president, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific at Marriott International.

“This is the second Moxy hotel signed in Australia in 2019 alone, showing the need for lifestyle hotels in the market.

“Moxy Perth will be a vibrant addition to the city of Perth, which, with its waterfront location and thriving calendar of events continues to attract urban travellers from across Australia and the world.”

Construction on the new-build hotel is anticipated to commence in October 2019.

Each guest room will feature a minimalist yet multifinctional design. The Moxy Bar will offer guests a fun spot where they can check in over a fresh cocktail or socialise late into the night, while Moxy Pickups provides a 24/7 self-service grab-and-go concept, serving everything from cereal to noodles, soups and wraps.

Guests can also enjoy the Moxy Living Room, a communal space for guests and locals to socialise, plus a fully equipped fitness centre for guests to keep active.
