Manly Pavilion will be brought back to life by Miramare Group.

Originally built in 1933 by the Port Jackson and Manly Steamship Company as a dressing room for the comfort of bathers, the heritage listed building boasts panoramic harbour views, and was extremely popular amongst Sydneysiders before it was placed in liquidation and closed its doors in 2012.

Manly Pavilion is scheduled to open in two phases. The dining room restaurant located on the upper level will open as Bistro at Manly Pavilion in May 2016, while the second phase will see the restoration and renovation of the lower level, which will operate as a function and events centre. This will commence operation in late 2016.

“During the phase of submitting our tender, I was doing some research on the history of the building and I came across the original tagline that was used to market Manly as a destination, it was ‘Seven miles from Sydney, and a thousand miles from care’, and I could not think of a better way to describe Manly,” said Miramare Group founder and CEO Santo Severino.

“We are excited to join the growing list of prestigious eateries and venues that Manly has to offer,” he said.

The Miramare Group also operates Sydney venue, Miramare Gardens.

Manly Pavilion is located at W Esplanade, Manly Cove NSW.
