New Zealand’s largest accommodation property, Rendezvous Hotel Auckland (RHA), has refurbished its ballroom and conference meeting rooms.

More than $2.5 million dollars was invested in the hotel’s pre-function area, Rendezvous and Tasman Rooms, which are now replete with new furniture, lighting and carpet throughout as well as the latest in audio-visual technology. The area can now accommodate 1000 guests in cocktail style.

RHA has already hosted some prestigious events including the Prime Minister’s Post Budget Luncheon and KPMG’s Annual Awards evening.

“We’ve been promoting the new facilities at trade shows and directly to our corporate clients and agents. Their reaction has been fantastic”, said RHA business development manager, Andy Blyth.

Capital works at RHA are ongoing with the refurbishment of the Atrium Bar due to be completed in September. A soft refurbishment of accommodation rooms is presently being proposed.

The 455-room 4.5-star hotel has 15 conference rooms and a pool deck that doubles as an ideal garden party or cocktail venue. It has two restaurants, two lounge bars, a health club, indoor swimming pool, sauna, business centre, executive level and lounge.

The Rendezvous and Marque Hotel group has 19 hotel properties in the Asia Pacific region.
