Jasper Hotel Melbourne refurb underway

The boutique hotel is giving its rooms a revamp to appeal to event groups.

Jasper Hotel Melbourne has begun the final stage of its $2.2 million renovation, which is expected to be complete by early September 2019.

The six-week revitalisation project is a major investment for the 90-key boutique hotel that opened in 2014.

During the refurbishment, 59 of the hotel’s Deluxe rooms will get a stylish makeover, with upgraded beds, smart TVs, spacious work desks and free Wi-Fi.

The Deluxe rooms will also now offer twin bedding capabilities to cater for groups.

Jasper Hotel Melbourne general manager Tony Tantaro said the works will significantly lift the standard of the accommodation before a surge of new hotels enter the market in coming years.

“We can help meet the growing need for quality accommodation while offering a unique style of hotel with a local atmosphere in a building that has retained the true character of our neighbourhood,” he said.

The hotel also boasts a dedicated conference and event centre, catering for up to 640 delegates.

“As a revitalised boutique hotel with 90 rooms, we can offer something different, attractive and well-priced that will appeal to both the domestic and international market for hotel stays, functions and corporate events,” said Tantaro.

The hotel’s event facilities comprise 10 pillarless meeting rooms, including a function hall for 300 people and pre-function areas with varying capacities.

Jasper Hotel will continue to operate during the refurbishment and will ensure the project has as little impact as possible on hotel guests and the surrounding area.
