Coworking pioneer Hub Australia has unveiled premium event spaces available for hire at its landmark Hub Southern Cross location. Housed in the historic Mail Exchange building in the heart of Melbourne, on the corner of Spencer and Bourke Street, the event spaces overlook Southern Cross Station.


There is a suite of event spaces for hire including a flexible space which caters for up to 60 people, a cutting-edge Boardroom with the latest technology presentation and conference facilities with an adjoining private area, The Lounge, an intimate gallery space perfect for a team activity or exhibition launch and a café space which can cater for up to 180 people.


Designed by internationally renowned design practice HASSELL, each space celebrates the heritage of the building with a blend of contemporary and modern aesthetics. Hub Australia has also partnered with renowned Melbourne caterers, Ed Dixon Food Design, as the preferred catering supplier for the event spaces.


Hub Australia has long been known for its innovative coworking spaces which create inspiring work environments for growing businesses. The event spaces at Hub Southern Cross will take this to the next level by offering event spaces for not just Hub Australia members but also the general public, to host anything from product launches to staff events and important board meetings.

Hire spaces available at Hub Southern Cross are:

  • Boardroom and The Lounge – For formal client meetings, the sophisticated Boardroom is equipped with video conferencing facilities for easy virtual interaction and collaboration, LCD display and premium seating around a 14 seat table. Adjoining the Boardroom is The Lounge, available as a break-out area from the Boardroom or as an intimate space for private events.
  • Event Space – Overlooking the bustling Spencer Street and Southern Cross Station, the flexible event space can be customised for events up to 60 and has access to unlimited high-speed internet.
  • Café – The Café is a bright open space featuring sleek timber with an abundance of natural light. Catering for functions up to 180 people, the space is adaptable for a variety of private functions and features an audio system.
  • Gallery – The Gallery is an intimate space which can be used for an exhibition launch or team activity and caters for up to 10 people.
