Hong Kong’s Ovolo Central reveals new look

The hotel now features updated interiors, custom artworks and a new vegetarian dining concept.

Ovolo Central has undergone a full makeover to bring a fresh new hospitality concept to downtown Hong Kong.

As Ovolo Hotels Group’s first ever property, Ovolo Central now features a brand new façade for extra natural light and ventilation and updated interiors throughout.

Each of the hotel’s 41 rooms exude a rock-n-roll vibe and feature unique commissioned artworks. The new Platinum rooms, designed by Monique McIintock Interiors, showcase exposed windows, edgy drinks cabinets and an in-room Amazon Alexa.

Ovolo Central’s Radio Suite, designed by ALT-254, spans the entire top floor of the hotel and features city views.

“Ovolo Central was my very first hotel, and what we’ve created here is a ‘New Sensation’ right in the epicentre of Hong Kong,” said Girish Jhunjhnuwala, founder and CEO of Ovolo Hotels Group.

“An exciting new look and feel that is bursting with Ovolo personality. So our shiny, happy guests not only get to experience cool art, original designs, great music, and our fantastic new vegetarian restaurant Veda, they get it all in an unmatched location.”

As part of the refresh, the hotel now features four new entrances, with a lobby seating area that showcases a modern fireplace, alongside Ovolo’s signature ‘globe’ light and stainless steel ‘egg wall’.

The hotel’s new vegetarian restaurant, Veda, is spearheaded by vegetarian chef Hetty McKinnon and serves range of plant-based dishes alongside an extensive list of Australian wines and innovative cocktails.
