Hilton on the Park Melbourne’s dedicated events and conference floor has re-opened for business following a yearlong, $40-million refurbishment project.

Hilton on the Park has finished a $40 million renovation

“After 12 months of refurbishment work we are pleased to showcase our new look accommodation rooms and updated events floor,” said Hilton on the Park general manager, Peter Hourigan. “This is a significant development for Hilton on the Park which has been welcoming guests to Melbourne for 34 years.

The dedicated conference and events floor, which was closed for refurbishment from mid-December 2007 until May 1, 2008, was been given a sleek new look with stylish décor and state-of-the-art lighting and AV technology. Two new boardrooms and a business centre were added to the floor.

“Our guest feedback regarding the new rooms and events space has been very positive (and) the hotel is now positioned and recognised as one of the leading events venues in Melbourne.”

All 419 guest rooms and suites have been revitalised with a contemporary new look featuring neutral tones, comfortable new bedding and furnishings, flat screen TVs and high speed internet access.

New relaxation suites provide three separate areas to promote a balance between work, enjoyment and relaxation. The executive floor rooms on the top levels of the hotel are designed with business travellers in mind.
