Discovery Events launches meetings space in Adelaide Hills

Regional venue operator Discovery Events has unveiled a new meetings facility at Adelaide Hills in South Australia.

The 30-person executive boardroom space headlines the company’s refreshed portfolio for 2024.

Sitting atop 32 acres of picturesque grounds adjacent Adelaide Hills Convention Centre – just 800 metres from the main street of Hahndorf – the Summit Boardroom is suitable for board meetings, workshops and corporate retreats.

It features a 30-seat board table with integrated AV and video conferencing facilities, open gas fireplace and lounge area. It also offers an adjoining function space with a fully equipped bar, lounge area and open plan layout for use as a breakout space or intimate dinners leading to an alfresco space and lawn area.

Discovery Events is owned by G’day Group and the company is expanding its offerings in the regional events market, including a new venue in Alice Springs and renovations to sites in Byron Bay, Nagambie and Lake Hume.

The redevelopment of Nagambie Lakes Function Centre comes after the venue suffered extensive flooding in late 2022. Its revamped floorplan now features a standalone executive boardroom and extended commercial kitchen.

Its onsite accommodation has been elevated above major flood levels and offers views of the Goulburn River.

“What we’re seeing in the market is great appeal for getting out of the city with your team or for a conference or special event,” says Discovery Events general manager Victoria Fox.

“For corporates, it’s the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the everyday and ensure your team can clearly focus on what you’re there to achieve.

“For special events, such as destination weddings, we have a great range of quality spaces with the convenience of onsite accommodation so you have everything you need to host the perfect event all in one place.

“We’re continuing to invest in and expand our portfolio and we’re proud to be home to some of the most unique event venues in Australia.”
