Hyatt Regency Sydney and Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley were jointly recognised as the two best meetings and conference properties in the country at the 2017 Hotel Management Awards last Friday night in Sydney.
The winners of the 2017 HM Awards for Accommodation Excellence, presented by Sealy Posturepedic, were named in front of a record 730 attendees at Sydney Town Hall.
Commenting on the accolade, Malcolm Zancanaro, Hyatt Regency’s Sydney General Manager, said he was extremely proud to accept this award on behalf of his hard-working and dedicated team.
“It’s a wonderful achievement in our first year of operations as Hyatt Regency Sydney to receive such a coveted award,” he said.
“The meetings and conference market is extremely important to our hotel, so we’re committed to deliver a world-class product.
“This award is testament to the fact that in addition to our stunning facilities, the level of service we provide is equally as impressive,” Mr Zancanaro said.
Hyatt Regency Sydney completed a $250 million retrofit of its premises just last year.
Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley’s GM Lachlan Walker told Spice News that he was “extremely pleased to see the hard work of our team be recognised at the prestigious HM Awards”.
“Meetings and conferences are crucial to our resort and this award is a testament to the high calibre of service we are able to provide even from a regional location.”
“It is through the support and investment of our owner, Schwartz Family Company, that we are able to facilitate clients and their events both big and small, and to further drive tourism into the Hunter Valley region.”
