Choice Hotels grows trans-Tasman footprint

Three new properties have joined the Choice Hotels network across Australia and New Zealand.

On South Australia’s Limestone Coast, Comfort Inn Robe (pictured, above) joins the network; in Victoria, the group strengthens its urban offering with Quality Apartments North Melbourne; and on New Zealand’s North Island, Comfort Inn Sunset, in Thames, joins the Choice Hotels network.

Positioned at the gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula, the rebranded Comfort Inn Sunset is the second Choice Hotels property for franchisees Robert and Lisa Davy, who also own Quality Inn Acapulco Taupo.

“We’re thrilled to expand with Choice Hotels,” says Robert Davy.

“Our relationship with Choice Hotels began as a way to strengthen the Quality Inn Acapulco business during a challenging time in the market, and it paid off so we’re excited to have another property in the Choice Hotels network.”

Choice Hotels Asia Pacific CEO Trent Fraser says the recent expansions reflect the group’s ongoing commitment to delivering diverse and accessible accommodation options across the region.

“We’re delighted to welcome these new properties to our growing portfolio,” he says.

“It’s a strong endorsement of the Choice Hotels model when franchisees not only stay with us but choose to grow with us.

“It’s especially exciting to see this growth happening across Australia and New Zealand, with new properties joining us in regional towns as well as key city locations.”

These four hotels join the Choice Privileges program, where members can earn and redeem points for reward nights at properties across 7500 Choice-branded hotels, spanning a portfolio of brands in 46 countries and territories.
