Accor has taken over from Mantra as managers of the Kooindah Waters Resort in Wyong on the Central Coast of NSW.

Located just 90 minutes from Sydney’s CBD, Mercure Kooindah Waters Resort provides a perfect setting for meetings and events, with a ballroom that can cater for 300 delegates theatre-style, six meeting rooms and 95 hectares of grounds in which to host outdoor functions and activities.

Named ‘Best Meeting Venue under 500 Delegates’ at the 2011 Meeting and Events Industry Awards, Kooindah Waters has also been listed in Australian Golf Digest’s 2010 Top 100 Golf Courses in Australia.

Several rooms feature extensive terraces for outdoor breaks, lots of natural light and direct vehicle access for easy bump-in and bump-out.

With the move to Mercure Meetings, the resort will also now offer a carbon neutral program for meeting planners who wish to offset the environmental impact of their event – with the cost borne by Mercure as part of the brand’s green commitments.

In addition to the 18-hole golf course designed by Ross Watson with input from Craig Parry, the resort boasts extensive leisure facilities including a restaurant and wine bar, indoor lap pool, spa and sauna, outdoor pool, tennis courts and gym.

Located in the heart of the Central Coast, the Mercure Kooindah Waters is close to numerous beaches, attractions and restaurants, so conference planners will be spoilt for choice. Tuggerah Lake is just five minutes away and the wineries and activities of the Hunter Valley are 40 minutes away.
