1888 in Sydney’s Darling Harbour has relaunched as an Ovolo.

In line with this Ovolo Hotels has launched a new initiative, dubbed Mojo Nomad, to attract up-and-coming entrepreneurs to ‘co-work’ in its lounge area.

Conceived by the founder of Ovolo Hotels, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, Mojo Nomad brings the region’s best thinkers together, combining high energy inspiration with fun-filled networking and social events at Ovolo’s hotels across Sydney and Hong Kong.

Helping budding entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground, the program offers all-inclusive daily, weekly and monthly rates at Ovolo 1888 Darling
Harbour and Ovolo Woolloomooloo. Entrepreneurs are provided unlimited access to free daily breakfast, high speed WiFi, high bandwidth internet, 24 hour gym, self-laundry, all day snacks, drinks and coffee as well as communal work spaces. Ovolo also arranges regular networking events and exclusive parties for Nomads where they can learn and collaborate on their start-ups.

To celebrate the launch of this project, Ovolo Hotels is holding The Global Mojo Nomad Search competition, with the prize including an all-inclusive month-long living and workspace environment in Hong Kong, flights, accommodation and one-on-one mentoring with Jhunjhnuwala.

Simultaneously, one lucky entrepreneur from Hong Kong will also win the same experience, travelling down to Sydney for a one-month residency. To enter,
you must be an entrepreneur and founder of a business or the brains behind an idea that has disrupted a gap in today’s market. You have to be able to demonstrate your ability to transform that creative vision into a tangible business model and be able to bravely explore new, uncharted markets.

From November 19, entrants will need to upload a 60-second video outlining their business idea. After the competition closes on 28 February 2016, the best ten will be chosen to personally pitch their idea to Ovolo’s senior management, as well as their reasons for wanting to base themselves in Hong Kong for a month.
