Both the RSVP Melbourne and Sydney trade events will this year demonstrate how events can make a significant contribution to charities by announcing Cure Our Kids as its official community partner.

Cure Our Kids was chosen by both RSVP events as they work to improve the quality of life for Australian children with cancer. The organisation provides practical and social support to help the children deal with their illness and empower parents to cope with financial and emotional challenges.

Charitable organisation Cure Our Kids provides much needed support to children with cancer and their families.

“So many event managers want to help charities, but they aren’t sure how to go about it,” says Event Manager for RSVP, Delwin Kriel. “As an industry show organiser, we felt it was important to demonstrate just how we can give something back to our communities through our work.’

Carolyn Dodds, CEO Cure Our Kids, called the partnership with the RSVP a matching of inspiring industry leaders.

‘We pride ourselves on our track record of developing and promoting community-business partnerships. It is our hope that this relationship will lead the way for other organisations to recognise that links to social causes are good for business. It is a win-win situation for all involved,’ she said.

Delegates and exhibitors to RSVP Melbourne and RSVP Sydney will be encouraged to make a gold coin donation when they collect their lanyards with a gold ribbon attached. Cure our Kids will be exhibiting at the shows to talk to delegates about how they can also support charities throughout their work.

RSVP Melbourne will take place on 26-27 May, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
RSVP Sydney will take place on 22-23 July, at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
