ABEE 2013 inspires with session from top tourism brass and Hollywood producers

ABEE has delivered on its promise to educate, inspire and connect the industry through its seminar program and events showcase.


The Deputy Premier, the Hon Andrew Stoner officially opened the Event Seminar Program of the Australian Business Events Expo and Sydney’s Event Showcase yesterday morning, with a discussion on the opportunities the ‘Asian Century’ brings to the Business Events and Business Tourism industries of Australia.


The Laissez-Faire Catering stand was a hit with visitors

The international theme continued with a key note presentation from Cheryl Cecchetto, Founder and President, Sequoia Productions who inspired the audience with examples of her high-profile work with The Oscars, Governors Ball and The Emmys Governors Ball. In line with her advice to include a ‘wow’ moment in every event, Cheryl welcomed Jessica Mauboy to the stage at the end of the session to sing a number from The Sapphires.
